As such, I wish my job was Features Editor for the Observer's Review section ... and I'd love to get to the position where Persephone asked me to write the foreword to one of their lovely books. Literary favourites include everything Persephone has ever published, as well as novels by George Orwell, Bruce Robinson and F Scott Fitzgerald, but really it's an impossible question as there are too many to mention. The book that I always give to people as a present is Pobby And Dingham by Ben Rice (simply the best novella ever written).
